Soundscape
Creative Summit

A weekend for the people building African culture.

Producers, artistes, DJs, designers, A&Rs, label leads, venue operators, brand marketers and journalists — in the same building, for three days, every year.

Why it exists

The industry doesn't have enough rooms.

African music is now the centre of global pop, but the working people who make it happen rarely sit in the same room. Deals get made on WhatsApp. Knowledge gets lost between cities. New writers can't find new producers. New brands can't find new artistes.

The Creative Summit is our annual answer — a focused, invitation-led three days that closes the loop between craft, business and culture. It's built to send people home with one new collaborator, one new contract and one new idea.

What happens

Three days. One ecosystem.

Day 1

Industry Day

Keynotes, fireside chats, panels on IP, distribution, brand partnerships, the changing African royalty stack.

Day 2

Craft Day

Closed-door master classes — songwriting, production, mixing, performance, lighting, A&R.

Day 3

Showcase Night

A curated Soundscape showcase across our partner venues. The closing party doubles as casting for the next year.

Programming pillars

Five conversations we never skip.

The Royalty Stack

How African artistes actually get paid in 2026 — collection societies, neighbouring rights, the platform economy.

The Brand Deal

What good brand partnerships look like, what predatory ones look like, and how to tell the difference before you sign.

The Producer Economy

Splits, advances, beat-leasing, ghost-production. A practical clinic, not a panel of platitudes.

The Stage

Live performance design, lighting, IEM mixes, stage choreography — taught by the people who run festival mainstages.

The Visual

Photography, art direction, music videos — building a coherent visual world without burning your label budget.

The Long Game

Career planning beyond the next single. How to outlast a TikTok cycle.

Masterclass Tour Series

We take the Summit on the road — to schools and campuses, nationwide.

The Creative Summit Masterclass Tour Series brings working professionals directly into Nigerian universities and creative-focused schools. Each campus stop is a one-day intensive — equal parts inspiration, hard skills and recruitment funnel.

Format

Morning lecture · afternoon workshops · evening showcase. Eight working professionals per stop, six 90-minute workshops.

Who teaches

Soundscape residency mentors, alumni who've broken into the industry, plus rotating guests from labels and platforms.

Outcomes

Standout students get fast-tracked into Soundscape bootcamps and residencies. Campuses get a year-long activation partner.

For institutions

We're booking partner campuses for the next academic year. If your school wants the Masterclass Tour on the calendar, get in touch.
