1. Agreement

By using this website or signing up for any Soundscape Ventures program, event or service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the services.

2. The services

Soundscape provides music education, talent management, audiovisual studio production, residency programs, distribution services and live events. Specific terms for each service (for example program admission, residency agreements, distribution splits, ticket terms) are provided when you sign up for that service and apply alongside these Terms.

3. Your account

If you create an account on our dashboard, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done under your account. Tell us straight away if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't upload content you don't own or have the right to distribute.
• Don't use the site or services to break Nigerian law or infringe anyone else's rights.
• Don't attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or reverse-engineer it.

5. Intellectual property

The Soundscape brand, the website's design and the original written content are owned by Soundscape Ventures. Music, artwork and creative content uploaded by artists remains owned by those artists — they grant us the specific licences described in their service agreement (e.g. distribution licences).

6. Payments and refunds

Fees for programs, tickets and services are set out at the point of purchase. Refunds follow the policy attached to that service. Statutory consumer rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 (FCCPA) are not affected.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Soundscape's total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to any service if you breach these Terms or any service-specific terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Lagos State, except where mandatory Nigerian consumer protection rules give you the right to bring a claim in another forum.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change and material updates will be flagged on the site.
