Afrobeats, Amapiano and the wider African sound aren't trends — they are the centre of gravity for modern pop. SoundX exists because the global industry keeps trying to interpret that sound from a distance. The shortest path is to come and stand in the room where it's made.
Every SoundX cohort is hand-curated: a small group of international producers, songwriters and artistes paired one-to-one with Nigerian masters inside the Morres Sticks Audiovisual Studio. The output isn't a workshop deliverable — it's a finished, released record.
The Lagos Pocket Sessions.
International producers learn the specific rhythmic timing — the "pocket" — of Afrobeats and Amapiano directly from Nigerian percussionists. Songwriting camps cross-pollinate global pop structures with local dialects, metaphors and melodies to create true crossover hits.
Pocket Sessions
Daily, hands-on rhythm work with The Setup band and Morres Sticks. You won't find this on YouTube.
Songwriting Camps
Multi-writer rooms blending global pop structure with Yoruba, Igbo, Pidgin and Hausa melodic language.
